Google Talk
Just now I came to know that google had released the beta version of Google Talk. I have downloaded the software it was a mere 900KB in size, it has a very small foot print but you can connect to Jabber servers like GAIM, Trillian, etc and can do voice chatting. I tried the voice chatting and the sound clarity is awesome. I had earlerier tried the yahoo's voice chat using there new beta version on yahoo messenger, the sound quality of yahoo is not anywhere near that of google. With so many messengers floating around on the net google needs some thing new to pull the buddies from there messenger program to google talk. Things which the user of google are asking is that they should enable to chat with other messengers. The messenging service is very fast.
Lets us all hope that this feature is very soon incorporated into the google talk.

Movies I Saw
Stealth: This movie is really a high octane movie from start it will keep you at the edge of the seat. You are going on thinking what next is going to happen in the movie. The action scenes and sequence are very good. The movie has a perfect mix of emotions and action sequence. If any one who likes action movies then s/he should see the movie. This movie has to be seen on large screen not on a TV or Computer. I will not tell you the story and rob you of your experience of see the movie. I will rate this movie 5 in the scale of 5. For more information regarding the movie visit the following site http://www.sonypictures.com/movies/stealth/
The Island: This movie is also of action genre. The story is ok kind but the action sequence is very best. That is what is expected from the directory of Armageddon and The Rock. In this movie I only liked the action sequences only. I will rate this movie 3 in the scale of 5. For more information regarding the movie visit the following site http://www.theisland-themovie.com/

Few thoughts from some great people
The truth is that there is nothing noble in being superior to somebody else. The only real nobility is in being superior to your former self. -- Whitney Young
Education is an admirable thing, but it is well to remember from time to time that nothing that is worth knowing can be taught. -- Oscar Wilde
Too many people are looking for the right person, instead of being the right person. -- Corrina Bunch
India's energy security - II
India has 92 billion tons and tising coal reserves. One third of this can be easily mined. Yet our annual production at around 400 million tons is grossly inadequate to meet the needs of even existing power stations. In past decades, India used to export coal, mainly to Bangladesh and Nepal. Today, our power plants need to import over 10 million tons to utilise capacity fully. To increase the efficiency of our thermal power station by 1% we require an additional five million tons of coal.
The power minister has given a estimate that the coal shortage may rise to 50 million tons in three years time. This thou being having among the biggest coal reserves in the world. Another analogy is that, High quality imported coal can be cheaper in Tamilnadu and Gujarat than low-ash Indian coal transported from Orissa. The coal industry is nationalised and a law is passed to ban private mining except in captive mines.
If we want to really do something about our energy security we should focus on the coal reserves we have and to allow private and foreign company to do mining. Even we can throw open the coal prospecting to maximise the discovery of high quality coal.
The coal ministry favours such reforms but this has not materilised as the trade union and left front are opposing it. These attitude of ours to rather import coal then allowing healty competion by allowing private or foreign company do mining is the real treat to our enery security.

India's energy security -I
As per him when the world experienced the first oil shock in 1973 each and every country including India where thinking about energy security. And the world is nearing anouther oil shock as the crude oil is retailling at $60/barrel and it is assumed that it will reach $70/barrel soon. During the first crisis everybody in India agreed that energy security meant maximizing the use of our coal reserves, which were sufficient for 300 years consumption. Nobody regarded energy security as arranging imports of oil and gas.
But the truth is India needs a energy security and these cannot be based on imported oil and gas. It must be based on maximising the use of coal and subsituting oil and gas whereever feasible. These is not happening, for 2 reasons. First, we have no overall energy minister, and different energy related ministries behave like separate fiefdoms. Second, despite our hugh coal reseves, we have turned from an coal exporter to an importer of coal.
More on it in my next blog. Wait for it.

Memory Enhancements
- A child should wear three-faced rudraksha, an adult who is vegetarian can war seven-faced rudraksha, while the eight-faced rudraksha, is beneficial in boosting the memory of adults who are non-vegetarians. Senior citizens should alternate between 10-faced and 11-faced rudraksha daily.
- A pyramid-shapped cap on your head for half-an-hour every day.
Consume:
- Mix and store 50 gms of Brahmi, 50 gms Shankhapushpi and 100 gms Amla powder in a bottle. Take one teaspoon of this mixture with a glass of milk or for better effect with half-a-teaspoon of ghee made from cow's milk and one teaspoon of honey daily. This is for adults. Children should be administered only half the dose.
- Make a thick paste of Walnut and milk and take a teaspoon a day (children should be given half the dose).
- Put a gold bangle in a vessel containg one glass of water. Boil till the water vaporises to half the quantity. Keep this overnight and drink it first thing in the morning.
Practise:
- Walk barefoot on green grass for 10-15 minutes in the morning.
- Meditate, as this acts like a general tonic, thereby benefiting memory as well.
- Indulge in head massage with almond oil for 10-15 minutes before going to bed.
- Hang pictures depicting green and blue colors on the eastern or northen wall at your workplace to ensure positive vibe for a strong memory.
- Sleep with your head facing the east or the south, according to Vaastu principles.

Space Shuttle Re-Launched
One more thing to check for these kind of damage they have modified the flight plan. When the shuttle is 800 fts from ISS then the pilot will turn the shuttle upside down and the tiles under the belly of the shuttle will be scanned for damages if there is any damage then the shuttle will be grounded on ISS till some rescue mission is launched from Houston.
At present we can just wait, watch and pray that the Columbia disaster is not repeated.

My first trip to Sinhagad
Saturday we friends decided to go on trek and Sinhagad was finalized. Morning 8 O’ Clock we all assembled at our office. And then start for Sinhagad. We reached the base at 9 O‘Clock and started the ascending the hill to reach the fort. The atmosphere was very cool, breeze and romantic. When we had scaled 20% of the hill I was exhausted and from there on I was stopping for a minute and move on. When we had scaled 50% of the hill my lungs where screaming for air for ever ten steps I was stopping and doing a minute of deep breathing exercise and then start moving. At last after a grueling 1 hr climb for me I reached the fort.
After reaching the fort we had lemon juice and had a few minutes rest then up in the fort. After some site seeing we ordered kekda bhaji (onion bhaji) and tea. After this we moved for more sight seeing we went to the wind point and few more places. We circled the whole fort then after having one more round of lemon juice we started the descend. After descending 20% we rested for 10 mins and started the descend again. Then after descending 50% we had a tak (Butter milk) then started the descend again then reached the base at around 2:30 pm then had wada pav and coca cola. Then started back to our house. This was a very memorable trip for me. I will not forget this trip as this was my first trip to Sinhagad and also with my friend who is leaving for his higger to US. I wish him my best luck for his higher studies.
